Relief, rehabilitation work in full swing in DI Khan: Faisal


The provincial minister for local government, elections and rural development Faisal Amin Gandapur has said rescue and relief work for the flood-hit across parts of Dera Ismail Khan was in progress, adding that rehabilitation operations would be started on emergency basis in order to ensure the safety of flooding community lives and properties before winter season set-in.
He expressed this during a visit to the flood-affected areas and relief camps in Dera Ismail Khan.
Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, high ups of local government department, Rescue 1122 and other related departments, representatives of Pakistan Army engaged in relief operations also accompanied him on this occasion.
Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur expressed his satisfaction that along with various relief agencies of the province, the jawans of the Pakistan Army were also actively participating side by side with the other agencies in relief activities of the victims.
The Minister said that living nations face natural calamities in the same way with full courage and bravery and today the Pakistani nation has also passed in this test.
KP government will continue efforts until every person affected by the flood were provided with help and relief and their return to their homes and rehabilitation is also completed. He also expressed his happiness that all the institutions of the local government along with other aid agencies have been working round the clock to provide immediate relief and rescue services to the flood-hit families in the district.
Faisal Amin Gandapur directed the district administration, especially the health and relief departments, to further improve the quality of health, hygiene and food needs in the relief camps.
He clarified that the KP government is taking all possible and necessary measures to deal with the crisis and for this purpose the provincial government is using all its available resources on an emergency basis.
