The Way Forward “Opportunities & Challenges” by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Information Service Academy Islamabad, Saqib Rafiq said that Pakistan has tremendous potential to generate solar and wind power and added that the renewable energy would bring manifold benefits to the national economy as it would reduce cost of doing business, promote industrialization, encourage investment, and create plenty of new jobs and enhancing exports.
He further added that high dependence on imported fuels has exposed Pakistan to energy insecurity, including price shocks and disruptions and exorbitantly high energy costs.
The seminar was attended by officers of various attached departments of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, including Muhammad Ali, Caretaker Minister for Power and Petroleum, Federal Ministries, Divisions and Departments dealing with Finance and Investments.
