KHYBER: Repatriation of Afghan nationals was in progress as 2921 Afghanis illegally resided in various cities of Pakistan, last day, immigration officials said. They added that on Wednesday, the twelfth day after resuming the border for repatriating families, 2921 Afghan citizens, comprising women, men and children returned to Afghanistan via Torkham followed their registration in the immigration office, Torkham. It is worth mentioning here that since 12 October, 2025, the Pak-Afghan border has remained closed for trade and pedestrian crossing. On the other hand the Afghan government announced that they intend to restrict trade with Pakistan. Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar asked the Afghan traders to find alternate routes for business instead of Pakistan. I urge you to search alternate routes for trade so that Afghanistan’s exports and imports were not affected, he remarked. News Desk
