SWAT :- Residents and civil society representatives have recorded a protest demonstration in Nishat chowak Mingora and voice their concern at a possible reemergence of militants in Swat.
Residents of Swat have stood up to raise an outcry against rising militancy and terrorism activities in their district and vowed that militancy will not be tolerated under any circumstances in the region.
The protester came into roads after the yesterday incident where the head peace Committee member among with other eight people including two policemen were martyred in remote controlled bomb attack in kotkey bara Bandai area of Tehsil Kabal District Swat on Tuesday evening.
The protesters were chatting slogans under the theme of ” We want Peace ”. Addressing on the occasion the speakers said that we will not allow anyone to fulfill their agenda by restarting militancy in the our motherland. If police and security forces fail to control this situation then we will take action against these outlaws on our own,” the speakers warned.
The local residents expressed their strong reservations on the alleged movement of militants in the area. They demand from government and law enforcement agencies that they should clarify the situation with actual facts that how the militants entered in the area despite the number of check post in the valley.
