TANK: Residents while expressing concern over the spread of violent crime in the area have demanded immediate redressal to the issue of public security, a survey by this scribe revealed. Residents including elders of the area have complained that Kundian Circle of the district was turning into a lawless area with multiple incidents of kidnaping, road robbery, home / shop invasion as well as others major and petty crimes. The elders including Waris Khan Kundi, Abdul Ghanni Kundi and Anwar Khan Kundi while referring to a protest rally against the poor performance of local police department outside District Press Club Tank, said that district police officer Sajjad Ahmad had pledged for taking all possible steps for the security of masses. They said that a moblike team of vigilant squad and deployment of extra police contingents in the vicinities close to Police Station Gulimam. They deplored that that the area people had welcomed the measures taken by the police department but the steps were not being fulfilled and taken back due to unknown reasons. APP
