Lahore: Board of Revenue Punjab has dismissed 125 employees for allegedly being involved in corruption. A meeting of the administrative body was held under its senior member Hayat Tarar. Meeting was told that actions were taken against 471 officers and employees who belonged to the board of revenue, Land Record Authority and field offices. Meeting was briefed that 22 employees were forcefully retired and 50 were suspended, while 262 were treated with other departmental punishments. Hayat Tarar while presiding over the meeting said that department had a ‘zero tolerance’ policy against corruption and accountability process would yield a comprehensive administrative system.
