Rehman Medical College (RMC) welcomed its new batch of 150 students in a prestigious White Coat Ceremony held at its campus.
The event, attended by students’ parents and family members, marked the beginning of their medical journey.
Dr. Aslam Qamar, Vice Principal of RMC, administered the oath to the new students, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, dedication, and ethical medical practice.
Welcoming the students, Dr. Mukhtar Zaman, Principal RMC, expressed his pride in the institution’s achievements. “It is an honor to be among our future healthcare professionals, alongside the esteemed faculty and management of RMI and RMC. Rehman Medical College is not just an institution; it is a vision brought to life by a son of this soil who returned to his native city to fulfill his dream. Against all odds, he transformed this college into a center of excellence.”
He further highlighted the institution’s commitment to quality education, saying, “RMC has carved its own path to excellence. We are fully prepared to support our students in their academic journey. This year, 280 students applied, and RMC received 140 applications on the very first day—a testament to our reputation.”
Dr. Zaman encouraged students to remain dedicated to their goals. “Dreams are important, but dreams without goals remain mere wishes. Failure is neither final nor fatal, and success is not an endpoint. At RMC, we provide the best faculty, infrastructure, library, and hostel facilities to ensure a holistic learning experience. We take pride in nurturing not just competent doctors but also well-rounded individuals through vibrant student societies focused on research, social welfare, and leadership.”
Shafique Ur Rehman, CEO of RMI, addressed the students and their families, stating, “Our mission is not just to produce graduates but to cultivate compassionate and competent doctors. Your parents have worked tirelessly to bring you here, and we, at RMC, are committed to shaping you into the best versions of yourselves.”
The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement and a renewed commitment from RMC’s faculty and administration to uphold the highest standards of medical education.
