Portuguese Super star, often regarded as arguably one of the greatest footballers of all times, Cristiano Ronaldo has once again stunned the footballing globe with his unreal performance against Tottenham Hostspurs.
Ronaldo blasted a magnificent hat-trick in a 3-2 victory over Tottenham on Saturday.
The Red Devils have been rumoured to be divided in the dressing room, but that wasn’t apparent against Spurs as they earned a hard-fought victory to boost their top-four hopes.
Ronaldo returned to form in scintillating fashion on Saturday as he netted all three of his side’s goals to take down Tottenham.
The Portugal captain opened the scoring with a fine effort from range, and added another in the first half after Harry Kane equalised from the penalty spot. Then, just when Spurs thought they might return from Old Trafford with a point, Ronaldo’s trademark towering header brought up his hat-trick to seal a 3-2 win for the hosts.
Ronaldo’s goals moved him to 807 all-time – two more than estimated record-holder Josef Bican, who is said to have netted 805 goals (exact figures for prior eras are subject of debate).
Paul Pogba has called Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo “the best striker in history” after the Portugal star netted a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Tottenham on Saturday.
“We hurt them at the right times and Ronaldo did what he does best,” Pogba told BBC Sport. “He has never been a problem. You have the best striker in history in our team, he cannot be a problem. Today the performance from him and all the team was very brilliant.”
He added to Sky Sports: “Everybody knows Cristiano – there’s no need to talk about him. That’s what he does. He didn’t play in the last game, but he comes back and scores three goals. Everybody’s happy.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has said Manchester United have “no limits” when they play with togetherness and work hard.
His comments come after he scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 victory over Tottenham on Saturday.
The Red Devils have been rumoured to be divided in the dressing room, but that wasn’t apparent against Spurs as they earned a hard-fought victory to boost their top-four hopes.
“Tremendously happy with my first hat-trick since I came back to Old Trafford!” wrote Ronaldo on Instagram after the match. “Nothing beats the feeling of being back on the pitch and help the team with goals and effort.
“We’ve proven once again that we can beat any team in any given day, as long as we work hard and stand together as one. There are no limits for Man. United! No matter what! Let’s go, Devils!”
