6,000 cabins, six hotels, 22 buildings have also been demolished in operations

The administration of the Hazara division during an anti-encroachment drive demolished around 6,000 cabins, six major hotels and 22 illegal buildings.
Additionally, following the directives of Riaz Khan Mehsud, Commissioner Hazara division, the administration also retrieved more than 800 kanals government land worth Rs4 billion from the local land grabbers.
The operations have been conducted in Kaghan and Narran areas of the Hazara division. Since Riaz Khan Mehsud has taken the charge of the division; the district administration has excelled anti-encroachment drive and successfully retrieved worthy government lands from the grabbers along with other special initiatives.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) The government has initiated a countrywide drive against land grabbing and adapted zero-tolerance policy against all kinds of encroachments.
The operations in the areas have been conducted in the presence of Commissioner Hazara Division Riaz Khan Mehsud, DC Mansehra Qasim Ali and a team of ADC Maqbool Hussain.
Riaz Khan Mehsud said that Naran and Kaghan are international level tourist spots but people have turned them into a mosquito colony by making rampant encroachments.
Riaz Khan Mehsud said that motorboats which were used by the tourists in Lake Saif al-Muluk were made prohibited and illegal.
All of the cabins close to the banks of the lake have also been demolished and stretched back to keep the beauty of the lake intact.
Moreover, he said that the sewage of 290 hotels is falling into Kunhar River was given 15 days deadline.
According to details, the encroachments in Naran Kagan have declared unlawful and no one would be allowed to violate the river protection act.
He said that policy has been formulated to close the ongoing crushing plants in Abbottabad.
Mining and crushing plant is also being banned on Thandiani Road and will be shifted to Mansehra he added.
