Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has once again proven that his politics is not about slogans, but about honoring commitments and delivering on promises.
Workers and industrial laborers across the country expressed deep gratitude and pride when the Federal Minister presented a cheque of PKR 1 million to Zahidullah, the son of martyr Fareedullah, a hardworking employee of Lakki Marwat Cement Factory who lost his life in a cowardly hostile attack by “Fitna al Hindustan. The cheque was handed over in fulfillment of the Minister’s earlier commitment.
The cheque was presented during the inauguration ceremony of the Workers Welfare Fund Mobile Application and Management Information System, in the presence of Federal Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Zulfiqar Ahmed, and Major General Tariq Zameer (GRA), Lakki Cement Factory.
This moment was not merely the announcement of financial assistance; it symbolized the fulfillment of a promise, the State’s solidarity with a grieving family, and recognition of the sanctity of a martyr’s sacrifice. The ceremony was marked by visible emotion, reflecting a shared national resolve that Pakistan never forgets its martyrs.
Speaking to the martyr’s son on the occasion, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated:
> “This cheque is not just financial assistance; it is a message from the State of Pakistan that we stand firmly with our workers and their families. In the fight against terrorism, our industrial workers and the entire nation will remain a solid wall of strength.”
He further emphasized that Pakistan has made immense sacrifices in the war against terrorism, and these sacrifices will not go in vain. “Our workers and industrial laborers are the builders of our economy, and ensuring their protection and welfare remains the government’s foremost priority,” he added.
Industrial workers nationwide appreciated the Minister’s gesture, acknowledging that true leadership is demonstrated in times of grief — when promises are translated into meaningful action.
This initiative reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to continue its struggle against terrorism, to support the families of martyrs, and to safeguard the rights and welfare of the working class.
