Supreme Court (SC) while accepting the apology from administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab has withdrawn its decision of removing him from his office.
Gutter Baghicah land case came up for hearing before SC Monday.
Administer Karachi Murtaza Wahab used harsh words. SC expressed annoyance over it.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed remarked “ you are politicking here. Are you administrator or political leader.
Murtaza Wahab said if politics is so bad thing then we abandon it.
The CJP remarked “What are you saying. You are acting like politician instead of administrator. You cannot stay on your post if you can not pursue impartial way.
Murtaza Wahab said should we go and quit the government. Big observations are passed against the government in open court.
The CJP ordered him to leave the court remarking we relieve you just now.
The court while ordering to remove Murtaza Wahab from his post immediately remarked Murtaza Wahab is not eligible for the post of administrator Karachi. Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Murad Ali Shah should appoint new administrator in place of Murtaza Wahab forthwith.
Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab tendered apology to the court over his attitude.
Offering his apology to the court Murtaza Wahab said I tender apology and I regret over my attitude. When I am angry some time then I regret.
Justice Qazi Amin remarked “ we have removed you from your post. Now you remain no more administrator. You are not state. You are government. You should know difference between these two. Your staying in the post will be clash of interests.
Later the court accepted the apology of Murtaza Wahab after a brief interval in the proceedings and took back its decision for removing Murtaza Wahab from his office.
