SC decision will have no impact in Nawaz Sharif case: Azam Nazir Tarar

ISLAMABAD, August 11 (Online): Former law minister Azam Nazir Tarar has said repeated interference in powers of parliament is not a good tradition.
He said this while reacting to Supreme Court (SC) decision regarding nullification of Review of order and Judgments act here Friday.

He went on to say procedure is laid down in the constitution that the institutions have to run how. The impression goes that advantage was taken of absence of parliament. The institutions will not gain strength but they will grow weak due to this interference.

He observed this law was long standing demand of councils and bar associations.

He remarked it is beyond comprehension that it is being said the operation be got done from the doctor from whom no healing is coming.

He made it clear this decision will have no impact in Nawaz Sharif case. Following legislation all have become eligible for participating in politics after five years.

He underlined participating in politics is basic right of every one. The disqualification can not go beyond five years.
