NAB amendment case
ISLAMABAD
Supreme Court (SC) has allowed former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to appear through video link on May 16 in NAB amendment case.
It has been said in court’s order Attorney General should ensure appearance of Imran Khan through video link from Adiala jail.
Notices are issued to advocate generals of all provincial governments except KP government. Notice is issued to Khawaja Haris as amicus curiae. NAB also supported appeals.
“The PTI founder can present his arguments in the upcoming hearing via video link if he wishes to do so […] arrangements should be made for presentation of arguments via video link,” Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa said.
He said so during the hearing of the federal government’s intra-court appeal filed against the apex court’s 2023 verdict which annulled some of the NAB amendments.
The bench hearing the case includes Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi.
The court made the preliminary arguments of Makhdoom Ali Khan as part of order.
