Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed appeal plea of Muhammad Boota , incharge NADRA Centre Shakargarh against his dismissal from service.

A two members bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed took up the appeal plea for hearing Monday.

Counsel for NADRA took the plea a lady Perveeen Akhtar came into NADRA centre to change National Identity Card (NIC). Irshad Ahmad is name of husband of the lady but it was erroneously written as Usman Yousuf. Usman Yousuf was the then chairman of NADRA.

The petitioner Muhammad Boota took the plea the lady which made wrong entry has been reinstated. The NIC bears signature of chairman NADRA as well. If I am responsible being incharge then how can chairman NADRA be not responsible who had accorded final approval. I was sacked without serving me show cause notice and holding inquiry. The entry in the name of Usman Yousuf was made later too but no proceedings was initiated. Had the inquiry been held then every thing would have become crystal clear.

The CJP while addressing Muhammad Boota remarked how it is possible that such error is committed in data entry. Being incharge it was your responsibility that you would have reviewed the data. A straight mischief has been committed.

The court dismissed the appeal plea of Muhammad Boota, incharge Nadra Centre Shakargarh against his termination from service.
