SC orders commissioner Karachi to demolish Nasla tower within a week

Supreme Court (SC) has ordered to commissioner Karachi to demolish Nasla Tower within a week and file report thereof.

Nasla Tower case came up for hearing before SC Karachi registry Friday.

Commissioner Karachi and JI Karachi Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman also appeared in the court.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rahman requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJ) Gulzar Ahmed that court should order Sindh government to pay compensation to the affectees of Nasla tower.

CJP remarked what is your interest in this building. There will be no politicking here.

Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman took the plea this can not be done so without paying compensation.

The CJP while expressing annoyance remarked what are you saying. We will issue contempt of court notice to you just now.

Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan while addressing Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman remarked no one is allowed to talk politically. You should go out of court room.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman tried to give more viewpoint however Justice Qazi Amin stopped him from talking more remarking have you not heard My Lord has said what.

During the hearing CJP inquired from commissioner Karachi what is the process of demolishing building from ground level .

Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan remarked they will demolish windows and ventilators first.

The CJP inquired when the process of demolition will be completed.

Commissioner Karachi told the court 200 people are working to demolish Nasla tower. When the process of demolition of the building will be completed we can not give any time frame in this regard.

The CJP ordered 400 people be deployed on demolishing Nasla tower and demolish it. Nasla Tower be demolished within a week and report thereof be filed.
