suo moto notice case
ISLAMABAD
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said Supreme Court of Pakistan’s detailed judgment in suo moto notice case on the ruling by the then Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Suri exposed ‘propaganda and lies’ of the former Prime Minister and PTI chief Imran Khan.
On Wednesday, the SC issued a detailed judgment in suo moto notice case on the ruling by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly under Article 5 of the Constitution qua voting on No-confidence Motion against the prime minister of Pakistan.
The apex court in its detailed verdict said said courts give verdicts on evidence not speculations. It was the executive duty to take a decision on cipher but the PTI government didn’t conduct or order any inquiry. The court was not shown the complete cipher but a few contents were placed only for arguments and not the complete cipher in front of court.
“Honourable Supreme Court’s detailed judgment on Vote of No Confidence exposes the lies and propaganda indulged in by Imran Khan and Co,” Prime Minister Shehbaz said in his tweet on Thursday.
“Utterly shameful how IK tried to undermine the Constitution and manufactured the lie of “regime change”. The judgment is a must read for everyone,” the premier said.
