Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm
The festivity began with a colourful flag hoisting ceremony held in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in the premises of the chamber.
SCCI President Junaid Altaf along with senior vice president Muhammad Nadeem, TDAP Director KP Nauman Bashir, former president Fazal Moqeem, WCCIP President Qurtul Ain and members of the SCCI’s Executive Committee hoisted the flag at the main ground of the chamber.
The Pakistan Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic marching band tunes like «Jazba-e-Junoon,» «Dil Dil Pakistan,» and the National Anthem.
Perform synchronized drum cadences and dynamic formations to honor August 14th with high-energy musical flair.
Deliver a solemn, slow-tempo woodwind and brass tribute to honor national heroes.
Participants raised full throated pro-Pakistan, Army and ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ [Long Live Pakistan) slogans.
They also prayed for the country’s peace, prosperity and economic stability and paid glowing tribute to the struggle of the forefathers for the creation of an Independent homeland.
The speakers also paid great homage to martyrs of Pakistan’s security forces due to their sacrifices which made Pakistan a cradle of peace.
The celebration was made more colourful by kids, who were wearing traditional green costumes.
The Chamber›s building was decorated with national flags and buntings and illuminated with different lights, which became the centre of key attraction for everyone.
Apart from the former senior vice president Shahid Hussain, ex-vice president Javed Akhtar, executive members including Shamsur Rahim, Gul Zaman, Saifullah Khan, Ishfaq Ahmad, Abdul Nasir, Aftab Iqbal, Sajjad Zaheer and Abbas Fuad Azeem, and Amin Hussain Babar, Sumeer Chaudhry, Naeemur Rehman, Nisar Ahmad, Ihsanullah Yousafzai, Saddar Gul, Faiz Rasool, Fazl e Wahid, Ishtiaq Muhammad, Rashid Iqbal Siddiqui, Sikandar Iqbal and Malik Jee, Deputy Director TDAP Zahid Khattak, SCCI’s Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, members families, kids, women chamber members and people from different walk of life were present in a large number on the occasion.
Earlier, the ceremony formally commenced with the National Anthem wherein participants paid great homage to the national anthem by standing ovation.
SCCI President Junaid Altaf congratulated the business community and the whole nation on the occasion of 79th Independence Day.
The chamber president said «The day of August 14 reminded us about the commitment to give sacrifices for economic development, stability and peace and prosperity of the country.»
He vowed to follow the motto of the founding father of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, «Unity, Faith and Discipline».
The SCCI›s chief said, «The country will put on a path of development and sustainable progress by following the quotes of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.»
He advised the youth to do hard work for the construction and development of the country and render every sacrifice for the motherland.
On the occasion, the SCCI chief thanked members of the business community and staffers for attending the ceremony.
TDAP Director Nauman Bashir also spoke on the occasion and emphasized that stability and prosperity cannot be possible until economic growth, in which the business community›s role is highly important.
The Senior official stressed it is essential to remove hurdles in business, trade and export growth.
