SCCI chief highlights role of SMEs in national economic growth

PESHAWAR: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fazal Moqeem Khan said small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have played a pivotal role in the economic development of any country of the world. SCCI chief pointed out KP potentials, especially mines, mineral and other natural deposits for foreign investment. He stressed the launch of joint ventures and mutual collaboration to enhance Pak-German bilateral trade and economic relations. Moqeem was speaking to participants of 50 anniversary celebrations of the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW) in German, said in a press release issued here on Sunday. Former president SCCI Zahidullah Shinwari was also accompanied during the visit to Germany. The SCCI chief said that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in the economy of any country, contributing significantly to employment generation, economic growth, innovation, and social stability.
