SCCI stresses adapting modern techniques to meet global standards to enhance export

Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fazal Moqeem Khan underscored the need of adopting modern tools, and meeting international standards to enhance export of Pakistani manufacturing products to global markets.
He was speaking during a National Export Training Program organized by SCCI in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) here at the chamber.
The session was attended by SCCI vice president Shehyar Khan, executive committee members Ashfaq Ahmad, Saifullah Khan, Rashid Iqbal Siddiqui, TDAP Director Nauman Bashir, Deputy Director Ayaz Muhammad and Assistant Manager Aamir Khan, exporters, 120 students of government and private educational institutions/universities, new young entrepreneurs and members of legal fraternity from corporate, SCCI Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan and others.
Fazal Moqeem urged the government and relevant institutions to provide special grants and patronage for new young entrepreneurs and the business community.
TDAP officials through a multimedia presentation apprised the participants about registration in Pakistan Trade Portal, initiatives for enhancement of export to global markets, special grant and incentives for exporters, assistance to business community for participation in international trade exhibitions, and others important points about trade and exports.
The SCCI chief urged the government to introduce business-friendly policies and provision of facilities under one window operation to the trading community.
Director TDAP also addressed and enlightened the participants about initiatives for enhancement of export to the international market and other programs. He informed TDAP will formulate a business plan for next year in consultation with chambers and relevant stakeholders.
Fazal Moqeem appreciated the TDAP for arranging such an informative session for new young entrepreneurs and students of educational institutions.
He hoped that the participants would get full benefits after getting information about export and trade, business through this session. Meanwhile, SCCI had provided certificates to 120 participants of the session through TDAP.
In the next session, more than 40 students and new young entrepreneurs will participate in the training.
