PESHAWAR: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fazal Moqeem Khan while emphasizing on strengthening of industries and academia linkages stated the world has rapidly changed into a global village wherein importance and use of science and technology as well as artificial intelligence has been increased exponentially. He was addressing an introductory session on KP Science and Technology and Innovation Strategy, jointly organized by Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Directorate General of Science and Technology, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here at the chamber house. Fazal Moqeem asserted adoption of modern techniques and tools have become essential for promotion of business and trade. He noted Science and Technology, and Artificial Intelligence has played a pivotal role in the development of society, which cannot be neglected. Session was attended by SCCI senior vice president Abdul Jalil Jan, vice president Shehryar Khan, former senior vice president Shahid Hussain, members of the executive committee Aftab Iqbal, Ashfaq Ahmad, S&T Deptt Secretary Muhammad Sheraz, DG Sajid Hussain, Strategy Focal Person Dr Nasrul Minallah, SCCI members Saddar Gul, Naeem ur Rehman, Syed Aftab Hayat, Qurat Ul Ain, Fazal e Wahid, Ishtiaq Ahmad Paracha, Rashid Iqbal Siddiqui, Aqeel Kayani, Gul Rasool, Feroz Shah, Asif Khan, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, along with traders and industrialists. He said government, industries and academia collaboration would efficiently promote Science and Technology and AI.
On the other hand, SCCI chief said use of modern tools for promotion of business and trade had become mandatory and hoped today’s session would help traders to promote their business and trade in a better way.
During the session, participants were apprised on the KP Science and Technology Strategy through a multimedia presentation in a comprehensive manner.
Earlier, SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan presented a written document of proposals to further modify and improve the strategy.
