In order to provide maximum relief to the tribesmen during the holy month of Ramadan, Yousaf Rahim, Provincial Secretary for Relief, Rehabilitation & Settlement paid a two-day long tour to Tribal District Kurram and checked Ramzan Sasta Bazaars in various locations including Parachinar & Sadda.
While inspecting various stalls at the Sasta Bazaars, Secretary Relief Yousaf Rahim has expressed his satisfaction over the steps being taken in the district with regard to Ramadan and appreciated the administrative efforts of the district administration.
He also interacted with the general public and met customers during visit and inspected the quality of flour and other commodities of the daily usage. He directed the district administration to provide more facilities to the people in this blessed month.
“The utility store should be operational throughout Ramadan and after Ramadan”, he issued directives on the spot, asking the District Administration to extend the scope of Utility Stores to the remote areas of all three tehsils, Upper, Lower and Central Kurram, so that the people of the tribal district could benefit.
Earlier Provincial Secretary Relief Mr. Yousuf Rahim presided over a high level meeting in the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kurram at Parachinar and expressed that during Ramadan, there is an urgent need for practical measures to provide food and other necessities to the people. Yousaf Rahim further said that the administration should ensure presence in the markets so that hoarders, gran vendors and profiteers could be held accountable.
Besides Additional Deputy Commissioner F&P Kurram Muhammad Naeem Khan Toro, all Assistant Commissioners and officers of other departments were also present on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Kurram Wasil Khan Khattak while giving briefing, presented a brief on the steps taken during Ramadan.
