Imposition of taxes in electricity bills
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while issuing notices to the respondents regarding taxes imposed in electricity bills has sought reply within two weeks. The petition filed by Mian Aslam came up; for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb here Tuesday. Khizar Hayat advocate counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court. He told the court IESCO has levied unnecessary charges in electricity bills. It has become out of reach of common citizen to pay the bills. The court while issuing notices to secretary water and power, IESCO and FBR adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks. Online
