An additional session judge on Wednesday handed over a senior gynecologist Doctor Naeema Utman, in a fake check case to police on physical remand.
Dr Naeema was arrested for making forgery and giving a fake check of Rs34 million to her business partners in connection with the purchase and construction of a private hospital in Peshawar.
According to details the additional Session Judge Ms. Aqsa Saeed’s court in district Charssada revoked the bail granted earlier to Naeema Utman.
She was seeking confirmation of her ad-interim pre-arrest bail granted earlier in connection with case FIR NO 132 dated 03,03,2020 registered by Sajjad Ali in police station Sardheri an area of district Charsadda.
The court, during the proceeding, found Dr Naeema guilty of dishonestly giving a check of huge amount to her business partner, and issued orders of her arrest.
Dr Naeema Utman has been serving as a senior gynecologist at Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar and also running a private hospital in Peshawar.
She is the wife of a senior bureaucrat Mukhtar Ali, served as secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB). The provincial government had already made Mukhtiar Ali as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
It’s worth mentioning that the complainant in the case against Dr Naeema Utman had addressed a press conference in Peshawar Press Club blamed her for issuing a fake check.
