Kandhkot: Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) has intensified action against power theft mainly illegal (kunda) connections in various parts of the subdivision kandhkot. According to SEPCO official, the initiatives have been taken on various public complaints, subsequently under the supervision of Executive Engineer kashmore Niasr Ahmed Gadhi and Subdivisional Officer Abdul Faheem bahalkani various teams were conducted raids in different feeders and removed hundreds of illegal connections. When this scribe approached to SDO kandhkot he told the actions have been accelerated in the areas where there are more reports of power theft through kunda connections. He claimed that during the raids as many as 400 illegal connections were removed cases besides seizing cables, wires and power supply bushes. He said four transformer were disconnected for non-payment of the dues. Although five iron poles were installed in the place of wooden poles.
