Karachi Police Investigation one team while conducting raid in the area of Tipu Sultan has arrested a serial rapist on the charges of abusing over 100 children.
Police said raid was conducted by investigation team on the identification of the suspect Imran and Waqas Khan by victims.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Usman Sadozai said 7 complaints were reported during 2022 to 2025 and all of them contained DNA of same person . The police was alarmed over it.
He said the age of victims ranged between 12 to 13 years. In one case child was abused by more than one person.
On January 6, Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan formed a special team to investigate the matter. The team arrested the suspects during raid
According to police the suspects will be presented in court and remand will be obtained for further investigation.
Usman Sadozai made it clear DNA test was conducted immediately in all cases and action has been taken on the basis of evidence.
Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah praised the police for making arrest in abuse of children case.
CM Sindh said child abuse is not tolerable at any cost. There is no room for any beast in the city.
Arrest of accused is a big achievement.
Only 7 victims have come to open so far. The police should locate the remaining victims so that all the victims could be provided justice, he added.
