Seven new industrial units inaugurated in Mohmand economic zone


PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Industry and Focal Person for Investment Abdul Karim Friday said that the development of industrial and trade activities in Mohmand District opened a new era of economic growth and prosperity in the province especially in the newly merged districts. He was addressing a function held on the occasion of the inauguration of seven new industrial units in Mohmand economic zone, seven different industrial units started regular work in Mohmand Economic Zone. The units include Markhor Ghee and oil mills, Royal marble solution, Madina Marble, Metcor copper and aluminium, Pak grinding Mills, Mineral Line Company, Abbas Mohmand Flour and General Mills. APP
He said that with the opening of these industrial units 900 million of investment is expected and thousands of direct and indirect jobs will be created.
The industrialists present on the occasion appreciated the positive and investor friendly policies of the provincial government and said that a significant improvement is seen in industrial development in the province especially due to the personal efforts and interest of Special Assistant for Industry and Focal Person for Investment Abdul Karim.
At the end, the Special Assistant thanked the investors and assured that the KP government would provide all kinds of facilities to investors in the province as a result of which the investors are taking special interest in investing in different sectors.
He suggested that keeping in view the geographical importance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, exportable industrial units should be set up to reach Central Asian huge markets for business activities.
