Under the Directions of Mayor Mardan Himayatullah Mayar Work is underway to install streetlights and remove encroachments in Different markets at Mardan.
Installation of streets lights at Main areas including Bijli ghar, Canal Road, Ameer Haider Khan Road in Kaskorona, Paar Hoti Road, Kaskorona Road, Charsadda Chowk, Shamsi Road, Main Nowshera Road and others will soon be completed.
Encroachments will be gradually eliminate from the Main Markes of the city. In the first phase, Encroachments would be eliminate from Kachahri Chowk to Pakistan Chowk, markets and Paar Hoti Chowk will be cleared of encroachments, while encroachments from other markets will be removed in subsequent phases. Mayor Mardan Himayatullah Mayar has requested cooperation from the public and the Traders community.
Projects are also under consideration to make the areas clean and beautiful. Work is ongoing on sewerage treatment plants and sewerage lines at a cost of 8 billion rupees. Furthermore, to Stable the gas pressure, 24-inch reserve pipes and 12-inch and 8-inch pipes have been laid, and work is underway to connect these pipes to residential areas which will completely resolve the low gas pressure issue.
Efforts are also underway for several years to complete incomplete projects related to education, health, and infrastructure in Mardan. Meetings and requests have been made to Provincial government, the Chief Minister, ministers, and provincial authorities through various channels. It has been requested that they fulfill their role in releasing funds from the Provincial government.
