Sh. Rashid withdraws NA-56 nomination

Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid has withdrawn his nomination papers from NA -56 Rawalpindi.
Sheikh Rashid had filed appeal against Returning officer (RO) objections on his nomination papers in this constituency. Election Tribunal (ET) had dismissed the objection raised on his nomination papers. ET had declared Sheikh Rashid eligible to contest election from NA-56.
ET had accepted for hearing appeal pleas filed by Sheikh Rashid and his nephew Sheikh Rashid Rafiq against rejection of their nomination papers from NA-56, 57.

Justice Mirza Waqar Rauf judge of ET had rejected RO objections on nomination papers during hearing the appeals on January 4.

Sheikh Rashid had said in this regard that conspiracy to get declare him disqualified has failed. I am Khandani, asli and nasli. I have not played with some one honor. I have not given statement against any one.
He further said people of Rawalpindi should come out of homes. You have to cast vote to pen and inkpot.

Now he has withdrawn his nomination papers all of a sudden which has given rise to rumors.
