Caretaker Minister for Communications and Works (C&W) Muhammad Ali Shah has said that Swat Dar-ul- Aman project completion would provide shelter facilities to a large number of needy,adding that residential section of the building should be completed on priority basis.
He said this during a visit to under-construction building of Swat Dar- ul- Aman here on Saturday.
Muhammad Ali Shah reviewed the ongoing construction work on the building and inspected quality of work.
During the site visit, the caretaker minister was briefed on the cost of the project, construction progress and financial difficulties in completion the building in stipulated time frame.
It was informed in the briefing that the residential part of the new building of Swat Darl-ul-Aman was in the final stage of completion, while the parts for administration and other purposes are also progressing according to the timeline.
Caretaker Minister for C&W issued instructions to quarters concerned to speed up the work and complete the residential part on priority basis.
He said that Swat Darl-ul-Aman was initially setup in a rented building where basic facilities were insufficient, adding that therefore if the residential part of the new building is completed soon, the residents can be shifted so that they can get better accommodation.
The caretaker minister said that this is a very important project which was inaugurated in the district when he was Nazim of the district.
Regarding the funding difficulties for the project, the caretaker minister said that the issue of funding difficulties will be brought to the notice of the finance department so that the project is not delayed further.
