Former cricket star Shahid Khan Afridi on Saturday distributed sewing machines and other technical equipment to female students who successfully completed their training at Khyber Institute in Landikotal.
The ceremony, held at Landikotal Jirga Hall, was attended by Commandant Khyber Rifles Colonel Saeed, renowned cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi, Tehsildar Timur Afridi, Tehsil Chairman Shah Khalid Shinwari, local council representatives, elders, and the institute’s students.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahid Afridi praised the talent in the region and assured that his foundation would continue to actively support local welfare initiatives. He also announced the organization of a major cricket tournament, promising that standout players would be admitted to his academy and provided with monthly scholarships.
