PESHAWAR: Senior bureaucrat and administrator Shaukat Ali Khan Yousafzai has been appointed commissioner of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Services Commission, according to an official notification issued by the provincial government. Mr Yousafzai has previously served as commissioner of Bannu, Hazara, Malakand and Kohat divisions, where he held various administrative responsibilities. His appointment to the Right to Services Commission has been welcomed by public representatives, civil society members and other stakeholders, who expressed the hope that his administrative experience would contribute to improving the institution’s performance. The commission is responsible for facilitating citizens’ access to public services and promoting transparency and accountability in the delivery of government services. Public representatives and civil society members said they expected the newly appointed commissioner to use his administrative experience to strengthen the commission and improve citizens’ access to services. They also expressed their best wishes to Mr Yousafzai for his new assignment and hoped that his tenure would contribute to better public service delivery and governance in the province. DLP Report
