Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Sunday said that anyone who talked about obstructing the session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was cursed.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the interior minister said if anyone had the courage to obstruct the OIC meeting, show it. “I already said no one’s father will come to Islamabad on March 23, and, no one’s father can stop the OIC session in Islamabad,” he affirmed.
Sheikh Rasheed maintained that he had assured 22 foreign envoys with same words “no one’s father can stop the OIC session”. “First Information Report (FIR) will be filed against the party leadership if any untoward incident takes place amid the OIC session,” he warned.
He said that the Bilawal’s milk teeth in politics were not broken yet, and he was talking about a sin-in. “I condemn what happened in Sindh House. Cases have been registered against those involved in the Sindh House incident,” he stated.
The interior minister said that the National Assembly speaker had the prerogative to carry forward the date of voting for the no-confidence motion according to the circumstances.
He also vowed to provide security to the public meetings of the opposition in Islamabad, adding that the security of important state buildings in Islamabad had been handed over to Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC). He also stated that the attorney general was filing a reference the following day which was a legal matter.
Sheikh Rasheed also stressed the need for taking forward the democracy of Pakistan, and adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan did not cancel the March 27 public meeting in Islamabad.
