Separate meetings of political and constitutional committees were held under the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan here Friday.
The government legal team gave briefing to PM on Supreme Court (SC) decision. Different points of this decision were reviewed.
The political committee meeting was attended by federal ministers Pervez Khattak, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Sheikh Rashid, Farrukh Habib, Shaukat Tareen and Babar Awan.
Post SC decision situation, opposition activities and mass contact campaign were discussed in the meeting.
The PM was advised to launch mass contact campaign forthwith.
Sheikh Rashid proposed to resign from National Assembly and provincial assemblies but this proposal was not agreed upon. Certain ministers were of the view that role of a forceful opposition be played in the parliament.
