ISLAMABAD
Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has raised objection over Supreme Court (SC) bench in reserved seats case.
SIC has pleaded in the petition a new 13-member bench be constituted under Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and the matter of constitution of new bench be referred to practice and procedure committee.
It was further said in the petition SC gave reserved seats case decision on July 12. On the other hand the judges who gave decision on July 12 were not included in bench constituted to review petition .
The petition further said Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had authored July 12 decision. As per SC rules the bench which has given decision can only hear review petition. New 11-member bench with exclusion of justice Ayesha Malik and Justice Aqeel Abbasi can not hear review petition.
