Sindh govt lifts fix timing implementation of shops, markets

The Sindh government has exempted all shops, markets, shopping malls, hotels restaurants, food outlets, wedding halls and marquees from the previously stipulated closing times in a major relief to the business community and the public.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that all shops, markets, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, food outlets, wedding halls and marquees have been exempted from the stipulated closing times, now business centers will be able to continue their working hours as usual without the previous restrictions.
He said that the specific timings for markets, restaurants and wedding halls were fixed under the energy conservation and thrift policy, however, keeping in mind the suggestions, issues and ground realities of traders and industrialists, the Sindh government has taken this decision so that business activities are not affected.
Memon said that the Sindh government believes in the promotion of business activities, urban convenience and stability of the economy and always takes decisions keeping in mind the public interest and consultation.
He added that the business community is the backbone of the country’s economy and the government will continue to take all possible steps to resolve their problems.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that even in difficult economic circumstances, the Sindh government has ensured the protection of the interests of the public and the business community and in the future such decisions will also be taken that will prove helpful in the promotion of the economy, employment and business activities.
