Sindh grants Rs100m to HWSC for unpaid salaries

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Water and Sewerage Corporation (HWSC) has received a grant of Rs100 million from the Sindh government after which the employees have been conveyed that at least one of their several months long unpaid salaries will be released in the upcoming week. An official of HWSC informed that the cheque was received on Thursday from the provincial government. Meanwhile, a delegation of Mehran Workers Union held a meeting with the corporation’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tufail Abro in order to convey their apprehensions over payment of salaries and pensions of just one month.
