Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali on Thursday paid a surprise visit to Warsak Road and lashed out at the department concerned over slow pace of work on under-construction drain and bridge on the road. Expressing his anger over the snail pace of the work on the site of the under-construction drain and bridge on Warsak Road, the Governor summoned the Director of the concerned department, Ijaz Khan, along with other relevant staff.
Haji Gulam Ali mentioned on the occasion that the construction work of a 15 feet drain and copper bridge was not completed in six months. He termed the performance of the relevant officials unsatisfactory and asked to expedite the works and complete it during its stipulated time, adding that no further delay would be tolerated in this regard. Due to the unnecessary delay in the project, the citizens, business community and school and college children living on the road have to face torture for hours every day which is unbearable, he added.
