A huge solar system has been installed in the sub-jail, Landi Kotal to ensure power supply to the prisoners round the clock.
Due to unscheduled load shedding and power off in the on-going summer season, the prisoners faced hardships in the scorching heat that was highlighted by the local media. The high-up took notice of the news and the provincial government immediately set up a solar system to provide relief to the prisoners.
Bilal Khan, superintendent sub-jail, Landi Kotal said that the solar system was in immense need of the jail because excessive power off, multiplied miseries of the prisoners.
Installation of solar system resolved electricity problems in the sub-jail, he added.
The locals lauded the provincial government for supplying solar system to the sub-jail, Landi Kotal.
