PM strongly condemns suicide blast in North Waziristan

Three Pakistani Army soldiers and three children have been martyred in a suicide attack in North Waziristan area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
According to the ISPR, the suicide attack in Miramshah area of the North Waziristan district claimed lives of three soldiers and three innocent children. The martyred soldiers were identified as Lance Havaldar Zubair Qadir, age 33 years and a resident of Pakpatan; Sepoy Uzair Asfar, age 21 years and a resident of Haripur; Sepoy Qasim Maqsood, age 22 years and a resident of Multan.
Three innocent children were also martyred in the suicide attack who were identified as Ahmed Hassan age 11 years, Ahsan age eight years and Anum age four years. Intelligence agencies are investigating to find out about suicide bomber and his handlers/facilitators, the ISPR statement added.
The security forces also cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down the perpetrators. The ISPR said that intelligence agencies are conducting a probe regarding the suicide attacker and his facilitators.
A few weeks ago, seven Pakistani soldiers had been martyred in a militant attack in North Waziristan. Militants ambushed a military vehicle in Dattakhel area on April 14. Seven soldiers had laid down their lives in the exchange of fire.
On April 13, two soldiers were killed in two separate attacks in the Shaam and Mirali Khadi areas of North Waziristan. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Sunday strongly condemned a suicide blast in Miran Shah, North Waziristan in which reportedly six persons including three security personnel embraced martyrdom.
The prime minister expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families. He also prayed for the high ranks of the departed souls and for the bereaved families to bear the losses with equanimity.
He paid tributes to the sacrifices of Lance Hawaldar Zubair Qadir, sepoy Aziz Asghar and sepoy Qasim Maqsood. He said that the entire nation felt pride over the supreme sacrifices of the armed forces of Pakistan which had always been a golden chapter in national history.
Such a display of valour and sacrifices had always remained a glowing principle of the armed forces of Pakistan which were kept alive by the martyrs, he added. The prime minister also expressed condolences with the bereaved families of shaheed children including 4-year-old Anam, 8-year-old Ahsan and 11-year-old Ahmad Hassan.
He said that the sacrifices made by the armed forces of Pakistan is a golden page of Pakistan’s history and the entire nation is proud of the martyrs. “Murderers of innocent children are the enemy of both Islam and humanity. We will not stay calm till the end of cruelty and brutality,” PM Shehbaz said while pledging to punish the backers of “these murderers”.
Expressing his resolve to root out the scourge of barbarity, he said that murderers of innocent children had been the enemies of Islam and humanity.
He said that they would not rest till the facilitators and culprits behind this heinous act were brought to justice. Moreover, Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb condemned the attack on the security forces too and expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased.
“Malicious elements want to disturb the peace and security situation. Such cowardly acts would not dampen our spirit,” she said. She said that the sacrifices made by the security forces for maintaining peace and security will not go in vain.
