Solid steps afoot for farmers’ prosperity: Qaisar

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar has said that the government is taking solid steps to get the farmer back on his feet for prosperity of the country. Chairing the Special Committee on Agriculture meeting here on Tuesday, the speaker National Assembly said that the purpose of the special committee of parliament is to develop agriculture sector. He said that attention to the agricultural sector is important for greater development in less time and to increase the agriculture growth rate, the volume of agricultural loans must be increased. Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan Raza Baqir in his video link address said that banks are monitoring agricultural sector loans and the volume of agricultural loans in the last financial year reached Rs1,225 billion.
