Southern districts to be equipped with international standard sporting facilities, Murad Ali

Project Director Prime Minister 1000 Playground Facilities Murad Ali Mohmand said that Southern Districts would be equipped with modern day and international standard sporting facilities very soon after the completion of the ongoing sports infrastructures approved by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan.
After the completion of the ongoing mega projects of sports development under Prime Minister 1000 Playground Sports Facilities of billions of rupees would certainly ensure international standard playing facilities to the youth of these neglected districts in the past. Murad Ali Mohmand said that as desired by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and in the light of the vision of the Prime Minister good talent would come up in different games and they would soon be in a position to win back name and fame internationally.
He said Rs. 3000 million has been allocated to have playing facilities at the Union Councils and Tehsil level besides taking steps for the timely completion of the nine playing facilities including badminton hall in Tank Sports Complex, Basketball, Volleyball courts construction in Govt High School Gomal Bazar Tank, Kot Hakeem Tank GHS No. 3 Tank, Govt Shaheed Sher Nawaz Centennial Model High School Tank,, Ghara Baloch Tank, Open Air Gym in Degree College Tank, Futsal Ground at Station Road, Tank and Upgradation of Tehsil Sports Complex Stadium Tank.
In Dera Ismail Khan construction of Basketball, Volleyball Courts in GDC Sharif Paharpur, GDC Paharpur, Tehsil Playground Paro, construction of badminton hall in Law College, Nili Kothi Stadium, Climbing Wall in Ratta Kulachi Stadium, cricket academies in Ratta Kulachi Stadium, volleyball courts at Degree College Paniala, Playground at GHSS No.1 Baharpur, Open Air Gym at Haq Nawaz Park, Insaf Park TMA, at Sports Stadium and Town Hall, Dera Ismail Khan.
In the Lakki Marwat Volleyball, Badminton Hall and Basketball Courts in GHSS Tajzai, GGHS Marmandi Azeem, GGHS No. 1 Sari Norang, GGMS Machan Khel, Lakki City GHS Jhang Khel Lakki Marwat, Tehsil Playground Lakki City, construction of badminton hall in Post Graduate College Lakki Marwat, at PG College Lakki Marwat, Badminton Hall at GGHS Aba Khel Lakki Marwat, Gymnasium Hall at GGHS No. 1 Sarai Naurang, Martial Arts Academy in Old Female Education Office, Lakki Marwat, Playground at Qimat Manjiwala Lakki Marwat, Volleyball courts at Landiwah, Lakki Marwat, Govt Degree College Ghazi Khel Playground.
He said billions of rupees worth projects are underway across the province under the 1,000 sports facilities project launched in the light of special instructions of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan, while 151 projects have been completed so far.
Director Murad Ali Mohmand also paid a visit along with the PMU team including Engr. Paras Ahmad Khan, Engr. Umer Shehzad, RSO Anwar Kamal Burki, Deputy Director Amir Rehman Batani and inspected work on various projects.
The projects, he said, would be soon completed. The team also visited Tank, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan and properly monitored the pace of work. He said work on the Badminton Hall at Law College Gomal University is in final stages which will be completed next month and handed over to RSO. The cause was stopped by Project Director Murad Ali Mohmand who assured that funds for the project would be released soon.
The team also visited Tank Football Ground where the project was completed at a cost of Rs 8.7 million. The team also inspected the renovation work of Badminton Hall, Lawn Tennis, Basketball Courts and Football Ground at Tank City Stadium and appreciated the work.
He said on the instruction of the Secretary Sports Abid Majeed and Director General Sports KP Asfandyar Khan a complete report would be prepared by the Engineering team about the quality and pace of work.
These initiatives will give full impetus to sports and give opportunities to the players to come forward and save talent from being wasted. Along with this, talented players will also come forward who are the name of the country and nation not only at the provincial, national but also at international level.
The teams also visited Lakki Marwat wherein the scheme name construction of gym hall is in progress along with Basketball Court in Sarai Naurang. C&W contractor also accompanied the PMU team. He disclosed that the scheme is exclusively for female indoor facilities, including Martial Arts, Taekwondo, Karate, Table Tennis, Snooker, Gym facilities, and other indoor Games like Futsal, Netball and Badminton.
