Rawalpindi
In line with the Punjab Chief Minister’s vision of a Green, Clean and Beautiful Punjab, the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi is undertaking special initiatives to enhance the beauty of the city’s major roads, reduce environmental pollution and create a pleasant urban environment through plantation drives and the beautification of green belts.
In this regard, special attention is being given to making the green belts along the city’s major thoroughfares, Liaquat Road and Rashid Minhas Road, greener and more attractive.
Relevant staff have been mobilised to carry out plantation, ensure proper care of plants, improve existing green spaces and promote greenery, with the objective of making these important roads more beautiful, appealing and environmentally friendly.
The initiatives undertaken by the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi to improve green belts are aimed not only at enhancing the city’s natural beauty but also at providing citizens with a clean and healthy environment.
Green belts along roads play a significant role in the overall aesthetics of a city and in maintaining environmental balance. Keeping this importance in view, special focus is being placed on maintaining these spaces and enhancing their environmental value through plantation.
Under the special directives of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, efforts are underway to improve green belts, parks and other green spaces across the city.
He has directed the concerned officers and staff to ensure that, alongside plantation activities, proper maintenance, regular watering and continuous monitoring of green belts are also carried out. These measures will help ensure the healthy growth of newly planted saplings and deliver sustainable results from plantation initiatives.
MD Ahmed Hassan Ranjha stated that transforming Rawalpindi into a greener, more beautiful and cleaner city is among the top priorities of the Horticulture Agency.
All available resources are being utilised to improve the city’s major roads, green belts and public spaces. He emphasised that plantation does not simply mean planting saplings; their protection, proper care and healthy growth are equally important.
He further said that collective efforts to promote plantation and protect green spaces are essential for improving the urban environment and providing future generations with a clean, healthy and greener atmosphere.
The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi will continue its efforts to enhance the city’s beauty and realise the vision of a Greener Rawalpindi.
The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi remains committed to transforming the city’s major roads, parks and green belts into lush green spaces and making Rawalpindi a cleaner, more beautiful and environmentally friendly city.
