KHYBER: Disabled persons demanded the social department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to set up an office in subdivision Landi Kotal to address their problems. Scores of the persons having different kinds of physical disabilities initiated a protest demo asking the concerned authorities to open social welfare office locally so that they could avail government support at their door steps. Speaking on the occasion Qari Anwar Jamal said that like other sections of the tribal society, the special persons have been neglecting since long and no specific organization is locally available to resolve miseries being faced by them that was injustice to them. In near future a union of disabled persons on cards to be formulated to safeguard interests of the special persons, he added. They also came hard on the administration and said it has turned deaf ears towards their problems. The special persons vowed that all initiatives will be adapted to attract attention of the concerned department to meet their demands. Our Correspondent
