Mayor Peshawar, Zubair Ali on Monday said unfortunately the government of a cricketer ruined the sports sector during its 10 years government but with the grace of Allah Almighty we will provide a healthy environment to our generations by reviving the sports grounds in the province.
Talking at a function of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Body Building Association here on Monday, Mayor Haji Zubair Ali said the government of PTI ruined all the sectors including the sports in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and rather multiplied their assets. The district government in its four years tenure, he said, will revive the sports sector and fully support and encourage the players.
He said directives have been issued to provide sport kits to all the sports facilities including the gym centers. On the occasion while announcing sport kits for the body building club, the Mayor also announced establishment of new gym clubs.
He also presented Rs0.2 million on behalf of the Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar for the Body Building Association. The Association thanked the mayor for his support and assured all out support for the promotion of sports activities in the province.
