Encouraging women to take part in extra curriculum activities, sports gala has been kicked off in Government City Girls Degree College Peshawar on Wednesday.
In this connection the tug of war competitions kicked off Wednesday, Tahira Daar, principal GCGDC cut the ribbon and formally inaugurated the event.
However, on the occasion Najma Naaz Qazi, Rahm Bibi, Gul Sanoobar Ikhlas, Afsheen Gul, Nadia, Din Muhammad, former director Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Peshawar center and others were also attendees.
The girls of differeny educational institutions including Government Girls College Nakhqi, Government City Girls College, Frontier College for Women, Government Bacha Khan Degree College, Government Girls College Hayatabad No1, Gulshan Rahman College, Dabgari College and others participated in various games.
The tug of war team of Nakhqi College and Frontier collge has won thier matches against Government Girls College Hayatabad No2 and Bacha Khan College while Dabgari College also smashed Mathrah College and qualified for the next round.
Speaking on the occasion of inaugural ceremony Tahira Daar said that organizing such kind of healthy activities for girls were also necessary aimed at creating courage in female.
