Members of provincial assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf here on Friday launched the Spring Tree Plantation Campaign 2022.
Iftikhar Ali Mashwani and Abdul Salam Afridi along with Divisional Forest Officer Mardan Shah Hussain formally inaugurated the spring tree planting campaign. At the inaugural ceremony of the tree planting campaign, members of the Provincial Assembly distributed plants among the farmers on the arrival of spring.
Talking to the media Iftikhar Ali Mashwani and Abdul Salam Afridi said that more than 1.7 million saplings will be distributed during the tree planting campaign in Mardan division.
They said that the people should take full advantage of various programs of the forest department so that more trees could be planted in the district. They said that the growth of trees and forests is essential for the elimination of environmental pollution and making the environment humane.
They argued that the people should plant at least one plant so that it would provide fruits and shade to its offspring which would not only help in making the environment pleasant but it would also be a charity
