The personnel of the City Patrol Force and Ababeel Squad continue to play an active role in safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. However, there remains room for further improvement in their operational performance, said SSP Operations Peshawar, Masood Ahmed.
During a special meeting held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines, SSP Operations Masood Ahmed addressed the personnel of both units. He emphasized that the City Patrolling Force and Ababeel Squad hold a significant responsibility as first responders.
Their improved performance can greatly contribute to building a positive public image of the police department, he noted.
“The police should regard themselves as true public servants,” he remarked. “Only through courteous behavior and a compassionate attitude towards citizens can trust be built and hearts be won.”
SSP Masood Ahmed also inspected the riders and mobile vehicles of both squads and reviewed their operational readiness.
SP City Patrolling and Ababeel, Fazal Wahid Khan, presented a detailed briefing on the structure, procedures, and performance of the units.
Expressing satisfaction over the progress, the SSP urged the personnel to further enhance their dedication and professionalism.
He reiterated that as the first line of defense, the roles of the City Patrol and Ababeel Squad are even more critical and should be fulfilled with bravery and integrity. A zero-tolerance policy has been adopted for misuse of authority, negligence, or carelessness, and strict action will be taken against any violations, he added.
The SSP concluded by encouraging officers to serve with renewed spirit, uphold the dignity of the force, and maintain a people-friendly approach in the performance of their duties.
