SSP Operations Haroon Rasheed while chairing a crime review meeting here on Thursday said that all necessary steps would be taken to implement the National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit to maintain law and order situation in the provincial capital.
He also directed for a comprehensive crackdown against the criminal elements and security audits of educational institutions and other important and government buildings in Peshawar.
In order to deal with any emergency in a timely manner, a series of silent exercises should be resumed, snap checking can be made more effective after identifying trouble points including search and strike operations, he added.
During the meeting participants were informed that fool-proof security has been provided to all commercial centers, bazaars and other residential areas during Sahar and Iftar to ensure proper patrols to prevent anti-social elements from succeeding in their nefarious aims, in the city division.
Investigate serious crimes as soon as possible In order to reach a logical conclusion, close liaison with local property dealers should be established, including further intensification of search and strike operations in the light of credible information to monitor suspicious elements, said SSP Operation.
The City Division Crime rime review meeting was attended by SDPOs, SHOs and investigating officers of City Division including SP Security Aslam Nawaz and SP City Atiq Shah.
On the occasion, SS Operations conducted a comparative review of serious crimes in the city division and learned about the steps taken for maintaining law and order situation.
SSP Operations Haroon Rashid said that The new strategy to eliminate criminal elements has been directed to ensure implementation at all costs.
He also directed to start a comprehensive crackdown by re-arranging the lists of elements involved in anti-social activities.
SSP Operations Haroon Rasheed directed effective action under NAP to maintain law and order in the city and directed to keep in touch with local community to keep a close eye on suspicious persons.
He also directed to conduct security audit of all educational institutions and other government buildings and conduct silent exercises to deal with any emergency situation in a timely manner.
