KARACHI
Governor State Bank jamil Ahmad has announced new monetary policy keeping interest rate unchanged at 11.50 percent.
As per media reports, Monetary policy committee met under Governor State Bank jamil Ahmad and the interest rate was kept stable at 11.5 percent.
It is pertinent to mention here State Bank has kept policy rate unchanged at 11.5 percent. from April 27. On Monday the old level was kept intact while determining the interest rate for the next one and half months.
After reviewing the overall situation of price hike in the country, economic indicators and likely impact of the ongoing tension in Middle East on national economy decision was taken about policy rate.
