Commissioner Malakand Division Shaukat Ali Yousafzai and district administration Dir Upper has arrested the accused, involved in illegal cutting of forest in Dodba area of Dir Upper, while the cut down wood has also been confiscated.
According to details, Commissioner Malakand had received a complaint regarding illegal cutting of forest in Dodba area, at Upper Dir, wherein, he directed the Deputy Commissioner to take immediate action for bringing the culprits before law.
In this connection, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Syed Amir Ali Shah along with Subedar Major Dir Levies Malik Naseerullah Khan and forest officials visited Dodba Top forest where, at least 17 heavy trees were cut down by timber mafia.The Additional Deputy Commissioner recoverd all the trees and confiscated them, while one person involved in cutting the said crime was arrested while the action was being taken to arrest the rest of the accused persons.
